So prior to coming to Storm Camp I had been journeying with a young guy. His home life is not very good and he has been through quite a bit of trauma in his short life. He was quite shut down the whole time at camp. I kept asking him if he wanted prayer and kept talking to him about the stuff from his life that was coming up during camp. Then on one night at camp I was talking to him and asked him if he wanted to give his heart to Jesus. He said that he would if Daz Chettle one of the speakers at storm camp would pray with him because Daz understood what had gone on his life. So I went and grabbed Daz. We prayed for him. He decided he wanted to be a Christian. So Daz lead him to Jesus. We also broke of his life the shame that he was carrying because of the trauma in his life.
Post Storm Camp I caught up with his Nana who he lives with and she said he has changed so much, the anger that he had before camp was gone and he was such a nice boy to live with now. It was an opportunity to share with her as well about Jesus as his nana is not a Christian either yet.
